Some of the coldest temps of the season so far: low temp reports and 48hr snow totals

01/08/24 8am: Baby its cold out there! Coldest morning of the season for parts of the front-range / eastern plains: The low lying Platte River Valley near Greeley bottomed out at -15 this morning and even some locations near Longmont, Loveland and Ft. Collins got down to the -5 to -1 deg range. In the mountains -31 degs in Fraser north of Winter Park. First image shows low temps (min temps) since 12am over the entire state.

Anyway, we have another clipper system on the way for tomorrow which will bring a quick shot of snow to both the northern mountain and the northern front-range (including Den/Bou) primarily from 2am-2pm Thursday. I'll have more on that later.

Third image shows 72hr snowfall from NOHRSC ending at 6pm yesterday (includes the Sat-Mon storm and Tue/Wed storm) it is interpolated so it can be off / too low in spots (like near Vail).
