Snow and rain reports from last nights (Fri night) wave

Mar 29, 2025

03/29/25 8:35am: Morning, already some surprises from the first wave last night with some heavy snow over parts of the front-range mountains and some good rainfall for Den/Bou/Ft.Collins and much of the front-range urban corridor. We knew the uncertainty was high and its showing up already (but I'll take the higher snowfall than expected in spots lol).

First, here are some notable 24hr reports from the ski areas this morning:

Winter Park: 9"
Eldora: 9"
Keystone: 6"
A-Basin: 6"
Echo Mtn: 6"
Loveland: 5.5"
Vail: 3"
Steamboat: 3"
Copper: 2"
Beaver Creek: 2"
Crested Butte: 2"
Aspen Highlands: 2"
Granby Ranch: 2"
Silverton: 1"
Breck: 1"
Monarch: 1"
Powderhorn: 1"
Wolf Creek: 1"
Snowmass: 1"
Ski Cooper: 1"

At my house in Westminster I measured 0.55" of rain. Much of the Den/Bou/Ft.Collins picked up 0.50" to 1.0" of rain.

Here are some notable reports:

Cherry Hills Village 2.1 N: 1.08"
Lafayette 0.8 WSW: 0.85"
Denver 0.2 NNW (Botanic Gardens): 0.75"
Parker 2.0 WSW: 0.75"
Wheat Ridge 0.6 S: 0.71"
Longmont 2.8 E: 0.71"
Littleton 1.5 NE: 0.60"
Fort Collins 2.7 SE: 0.54"
Boulder 1.7 N: 0.53"

How much rain did you get? How much snow?

More rain and snow coming, especially to the front-range from 6pm today through 9am Sun, I'll have more on that later.

First 3 images are current views of Winter Park, Eldora and Loveland snow-stakes this morning. Images 4 and 5 show CoCoRaHS rain reports over the northern front-range (Den/Bou/Ft.Collins areas).
