Snow and rain reports for May 1st
May 1, 2025
05/01/25 8:25am: Happy May 1st! It's Mauary in the mountains with some fresh snowfall. Happy to see the first part of the storm system come through as expected with some good rain on the front-range and some good snow in the mountains.
First here are some snow reports from the ski areas and estimated by looking at webcams
Loveland: 6"
Winter Park: 6"
A-Basin: 5"
Vail: 4"
Copper: 3"
Breck: 3"
Aspen Mtn: 3"
Crested Butte: 2"
Powderhorn: 2"
Steamboat ski: 1"
Also good to see some healthy rainfall for Den/Bou and the front-range. At my house I measured 0.16" of rain but that was on the low end of the totals. Much of Denver / south Denver and the areas west picked up 0.25" to 0.60" of rain. Also good to see 1-4" of snow across part of the upper foothills (near Idaho Springs, etc)
Here are some notable reports form CoCoRaHS:
Kittredge 2.5 SSE (west of Arvada): 0.56"
Littleton 6.3 WNW: 0.55"
Lyons 5.9 NW: 0.55"

Ken Caryl 0.6 WSW: 0.52"
Morrison 2.3 SE: 0.50"
Evergreen 3.2 ESE: 0.50"
Highlands Ranch 3.2 SW: 0.49"
Denver 4.7 SW: 0.48"

Windsor 1.4 WNW: 0.40"
Louisville 1.2 NNW: 0.39"
Fort Collins 2.4 ESE: 0.28"
Loveland 0.5 W: 0.25"
Expecting another round of weaker rain/snow showers across the front-range and mountains from 2pm-10pm today. The focus for the heaviest precip will be south of I-70 and over south-central CO and the southern front-range (but still some up north). The north-central mountains will get Trace-3" of additional snow.
How much rain or snow did you get?
