Rain showers on the front-range snow showers in the mountains (some rain and snow reports)
Apr 28, 2025
04/28/25 8am: Morning, its Monday. Cloudy and cooler out there. We have some weak rain showers over the northern front-range and some snow-showers over parts of the mountains as expected this morning. Good to see some accumulating snow at some of the ski areas:
Here are some notable reports from ski areas / snow-stakes:
Steamboat ski: 3-4"
Winter Park: 2-3"
Loveland: 1-2"
Aspen Highlands: 1-2"
A-Basin: 1"
Copper: 1"
Breck: 1"
Here are a few notable 24hr rain (and snow) reports from CoCoRaHS:
Glenwood Springs .64 S: 0.36"
Steamboat Springs 1.1 E: 0.30", 2.9"
Tabernash 2.7 NW: 0.29", 2.9"
Palisade 0.5 WSW: 0.22"
Crested Butte 6.2 N: 0.08", 1.0"
Grand Junction 4.4 E: 0.06"
Loveland 2.3 NW: 0.05"
Looking ahead, some on/off rounds of snow for the mountains from now through Wed morning: Trace-3" additional in spots, will be spotty. Then a better chance for moderate snow from 6pm Wed through 6pm Thu: 2-6" additional
For Den/Bou a few rain showers this morning, then partly cloudy and dry the rest of today. Then another chance for more rain showers tomorrow afternoon / evening: 4pm-10pm. Then a better chance for some rain/snow from 9pm Wed to through 6pm Thu (best chances Thu morning for some rain/snow or all snow falling, so heads up there). I'll have more on all that later.
