Rain and snow reports from last nights upslope event

Oct 6, 2025

10/06/25 8am: Great to see the upslope event come through with even more rain than expected for much of the northern front-range including Den/Bou/Ft.Collins areas, with some snow in the foothills and mountains as well! Its still socked in and chilly on the front-range with more rain expected this afternoon.

At my house in Westminster I measured a respectable 0.53" of rain and currently its cloudy with a temp of 42 degs, chilly!

First image shows 24hr observed rainfall (and liquid precip) from MRMS (multi-sensor / multi-radar interpolated obs). Second image shows a map snippet of 24hr reports from CoCoRaHS. Images 3 and 4 show current view of the snow-stakes at A-Basin and Winter Park this morning.

We are not quite done with the storm system yet. After a break ths morning through early afternoon, the front-range (including Den/Bou) will get another round of rain showers and drizzle from 3pm-9pm, best chances in/near foothills.

A few rain/snow showers for parts of the mountains and foothills mostly along/east of the Cont. Divide (Front Range mountains today): 2pm-9pm, won't be too much (snow level above 9k ft).

How much rain did you get? How much snow? What is your current temp?

On a side note, the last thing I'll mention is: the model that really nailed this event was the ECMWF, no surprise there (it outperformed even the high-res models like HRRR, etc).
