Latest snow reports for the ongoing storm system

Jan 25, 2025

01/25/25 9am: Morning, happy snowy Saturday! Good to see this current storm system coming through about as expected with snow ongoing over the front-range and parts of the northern mountains.

At my house in Westminster I have measured 3.2" of snow with 0.19" swe (pretty light and fluffy, so its easy to shovel). Highest amounts on the front-range so far have been near Allenspark with over 5" there and also near Boulder and Golden with nearly 4" there. And its still snowing moderately.

In the mountains highest amounts have been near Cameron Pass with 10" being reported there and 7" at Bear Lake (RMNP). Ski areas picked up 2-4" of new snow with highest amounts near Copper, Breck and Winter Park generally.

Here are some notable snow reports so far from the different source (of course these are not final totals by no means as it still snowing, although not that much more expected for the central mountains).

Light / moderate snow will continue over the northern front-range from now through 9pm this evening with the focus for heaviest snowfall from Denver north to Ft. Collins: Additional 1-4" of snow for the urban corridor and 3-6" more for the foothills.

In the mountains, most of the meaningful snow will be confined to Front Range mountains from IPW to RMNP to Cameron Pass: additional 3-9" for those areas. For the local ski areas / I-70 mountain corridor, another round of light snow tonight but likely only Trace-3" additional for the ski areas with highest amounts near/east of the Cont. Divide.

How are conditions in your neck of the woods this morning? How much snow did you get?
