Feb 13, 2025
02/13/25 8am: Last really cold morning from this current arctic outbreak. Then a quick warm up before the Pacific storm moves in tonight.

Vail Pass: -16
Steamboat: -16
Fountain (southeast of Springs): -12
Greeley: -11
Ft. Collins (CSU): -10
Gunnison: -10
Frisco: -7
Pueblo: -6
Denver Int. Airport: -2
Alamosa: -2
Also good to see a bit more snow in the mountains. Some notable 24hr,48hr reports:

Vail: 1", 8"
Powderhorn: 1", 8"

Anyway, forecast for the big storm is still on track. Snow moves back into the mountains mostly after 10pm tonight. Moderate snow through Fri afternoon (except heavy snow over southern CO), then heavier snow over north-central mountains from Fri night through Sat night.
Several winter weather highlights currently: Vail, BC, Aspen and much of western / southern CO (including San Juans as well) are under a Winter Storm Warning from 6pm tonight through 6pm Sat.
All of Summit, Grand, ClearCreek, western Boulder/Larimer counties, I-70 ski areas further east are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 5am Fri through 8pm Sat.
Parts of southern / southeast CO including SLV, Alamosa, La Veta Pass to Trinidad are under either Red Flag Warning or High Wind Watch from 11pm today to 2pm tomorrow.
I'll be updating my total snowfall forecast map tonight.
First image shows low temps (min-T) since midnight over the state. Second image shows all the watches and warnings currently. Third image shows forecast total snowfall over just the next 48hrs (5am this morning to 5am Sat) from latest high-res HRRR model, take with grain of salt but you get the idea: heavy snow in spots, favoring western and southern CO
