Big rain and snow totals from this last storm system

Sep 24, 2025

09/24/25 8:15am: Morning! Still a bit cloudy over parts of the front-range as some low-clouds and fog pull south. But its damp and cool out there after all the rainfall. Some really impressive 2-day rain totals and I'm happy the forecast verified with 1-3" of rain / liquid precip across much of northern CO!

At my house 1.35" total and I think that's the biggest storm total since early June. Denver Int. Airport (DIA) picked up 1.31" total with 1.28" yesterday, a new daily record for Denver!

The clouds should clear out in the next few hours and give way to a nice and sunny, albeit cool day.

Looking at nice weekend for the most part:

Suny and dry from Wed afternoon through mid-day Fri

On Fri a few isolated rain showers (show above 12k) returns to the mountains 1pm-8pm, it won't be that much, spotty. Similar on Sat (a few isolated afternoon storms)

Then I'm tracking our next storm system: a warmer disorganized low coming up from the southwest, that may bring another round of rain (and snow above 11kft) to the state from 12pm Sun through 12pm Mon, more on that later.

What was your 2-day rain total? Any snow, how much? Thoughts on the forecast. I think it panned out really nicely!

Below I show 48hr rain totals from MRMS and CoCoRaHS map snippets showing 48hr reports across the state.
