Mar 5, 2025

03/05/25 8:15am: Still snowing in the mountains with good orographic snowfall last night into this morning. Good to see the ski area totals come into the forecast range (based on my map from Mon am).

Before I show 48hr totals, here is the top 3 season totals so far (Copper is back in the lead after 16" of new snowfall):

Copper: 272"

Here are the 48 reports from the ski areas:

Silverton: 14"
Aspen Highlands: 13"
Ski Cooper: 12"
Telluride: 12"
Vail: 11"
A-Basin: 11"
Monarch: 11"
Beaver Creek: 10"
Winter Park: 10"
Keystone: 9"
Wolf Creek: 9"
Aspen Mtn: 8"
Eldora: 7"
Purgatory: 7"
Snowmass: 6"
Crested Butte: 5"
Granby Ranch: 5"

Snow moves back into the mountains by 5pm today. In fact all of the western and southwestern mountains, west of Vail Pass (including Vail, BC, Aspen, CB, Telluride, Silverton, WC, etc) are under a Winter Storm Watch from 5pm today through 11pm Fri. Refer to my post last night for all the details.

I'll have a bit more tonight before heading up to the mountains tomorrow for the weekend (for 3 nights).
